Last night, on August 25, 2009, the US Senate lost one of its most famous/notorious members. Edward “Teddy” Kennedy was serving his ninth term when he passed away after a fight with brain cancer. At the time he was the second most senior member of the Senate and was the third longest serving senator ever. After his older brothers John and Robert were assassinated,Ted made a name for himself as one of the most polarizing figures in congress.
